​Awaken your body, mind, and soul at Sagrada Holistic Ranch, a nature-inspired holistic ranch in the countryside of San Miguel De Allende, Mexico.

​This exclusive 5-day, 4-night retreat, co-hosted with Alejandro Castro Croy, is a restorative sanctuary designed for therapists, helpers and healers to heal burnout, restore their spirit, and reconnect with their purpose. 


Join us for this small group retreat February 5-9, 2026.

Your retreat will include daily yoga, sound bath sessions, guided meditation, shamanic journey work, centering sessions, creative art and mandala sessions, Jungian archetype sessions, energy clearings, delicious vegetarian meals prepared by the team of local chefs from the retreat center. Your days will be the perfect balance of inspiring sessions to help heal your burnout and restore your passion and purpose with lots of time to slow down, recharge, integrate and connect.

Lodging Information:

SAGRADA Holistic Ranch is situated in a small countryside village of Marroquin, 6 miles outside of the historic, colonial town of San Miguel de Allende, nicknamed as The Most Magical Town in Mexico. 

There are single casitas to choose from and each casita has it's own beauty and charm.

The property is set on the foothills of an extinct volcano where an abundance of healing energy flows. This land is also the home of a protected 300 year old ancient botanical garden. 


Guests can enjoy their sauna, massage therapy room, sacred bath, bonfire, and use of the meditation teepees. 

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, they also have a donkey sanctuary on site!  YES - adorable donkeys!  Can you imagine the joy of seeing miniature donkeys on property while you're on retreat?  

Chef Prepared Meals

Can you imagine having a team of local professional chefs prepare all your meals for 4 nights and 5 days? 

​Created from the bounty of local fresh ingredients, the plant based meals will restore your body and heal your soul. The team at Sagrada even make fresh fruit juices for guests.

6:30pm Opening Circle: "Leaning into our Collective Intention" followed by a sound healing for relaxation and grounding.

Friday, February 6, 2026:

7:30 AM: Morning yoga 
8:30 AM: Breakfast
9:30 AM: Morning Circle - "A Return to Creativity" - an experiential session to aid in burnout prevention and recovery. 
12:00 PM: Lunch.
1:00–4:00 PM: Free time 
4:00 PM: Afternoon Circle - "Answering the Call - what do we need now?" - a guided meditation session for deepening our insight and growth.
5:30 PM: Dinner.
6:30 PM: Evening Circle  (sound healing, guided meditation, or Jungian Archetype card readings)

Megan Gunnell, Founder

Alejandro Castro Croy

Alejandro Castro Croy is a bilingual, bicultural Trauma and Addiction Counselor, Speaker, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and the owner of Transcending Consulting Group in Colorado. A first-generation immigrant from Mexico, Alejandro achieved his academic dreams, earning an AA in Pastoral Ministry, a Bachelor of Science in Human Services, and an MA in Community Counseling, with ongoing studies toward a Ph.D. in Jungian and Archetypal Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. With over a decade of experience as an Adjunct Professor at MSU-Denver, Alejandro has also served as an Interventionist for the Latino LGBTQ+ community, a Drug Court Probation Officer, and a Bilingual Diversion Officer. His eclectic therapeutic approach focuses on effectively treating trauma and addiction while emphasizing the importance of self-care and soul work. Guided by a Depth/Jungian perspective, Alejandro believes in honoring the human before the professional, recognizing that true healing begins with tending to the soul.

Heidi Schindlbeck

Heidi Schindlbeck plays many roles with the Thrive Team!  As our business manager, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She also teaches yoga at all of our retreats and summits and has extensive experience in personal training, wellness and fitness. Yoga sessions with Heidi are supportive, connected and intuitive. She will help you stretch and grow into your highest potential both on and off the mat. At the retreat, Heidi will offer daily yoga sessions for restoration and recharging. No experience is necessary. Heidi helps everyone in the room feel comfortable whether you're brand new to yoga or a seasoned yogi.

Travel Details

Plan to fly into the Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) airport. We will arrange round trip group shuttle transportation for all guests leaving from the BJX airport at 3:00pm on the opening day Feb. 5, 2026 and returning back to the BJX airport on Feb. 9, 2026 around 1:00pm.  

Please note if you're coming from outside of Mexico, you will need a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of your travel dates to attend this retreat.

FAQs


1. Will Continuing Education (CE) credits be offered for this retreat?
No, this retreat does not offer CE credits. ​

2. Who is eligible to attend this retreat?
This retreat is specifically designed for mental health professionals, helpers and healers, including psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, psychologists, physicians, nurses, reiki masters, massage therapists, yoga instructors, etc. Megan and Alejandro are trained psychotherapists, but this retreat is designed as a wellness retreat offering and not as a replacement for psychotherapeutic care.   

3. When should I arrive and plan to leave?
Plan to arrive to the BJX airport in Mexico with plenty of time to deplane, collect luggage and meet your shuttle driver by 3:00pm on opening day - Feb. 5th, 2026. Your retreat will close at 11am on Feb. 9th, 2026 and you'll arrive back to the BJX airport around 1:00pm.  

4. Is this retreat only for women?
No, this retreat is open to all genders. 

5. Do I need yoga experience to participate in the yoga sessions?
No prior yoga experience is necessary. All yoga sessions are designed to be gentle and accessible to participants of all levels. 

6. What should I bring to the retreat?
Closer to the retreat, you’ll receive a detailed packing list. Essentials typically include comfortable clothing, yoga attire, walking shoes, and personal toiletries. 

7. Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
The menus will be plant based, vegetarian with plant based protein and loads of fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to rice, beans, whole grains and fresh made fruit juices. Coffee, teas and filter water are provided at all meals and throughout the day. 

8. Is this a substance-free retreat?
Yes, this retreat and the Sagrada Holistic Ranch is an alcohol and substance-free space to support a clear, restorative, and mindful environment for all participants. 

9. What is the group size for this retreat?
This retreat is intentionally limited to a small group of only 13 participants max to ensure a highly personalized and intimate experience.

10. Can I attend if I’m traveling solo?
Absolutely! Many participants come alone and find it to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals in a supportive environment. If you're searching for a roommate for your lodging options, you can connect with others who are attending on our Thrive Summits and Retreats FB page or we will select the perfect roommate for you!

11. Is the retreat refundable if I can’t attend?
Due to the extensive planning and limited spots available, all payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another therapist, helper or healer you know or someone from our waitlist.  

12. Do I need travel insurance?
We recommend you purchase individual travel insurance for your trip from 
Allianz or  Travel Insured.
