Arrival and Departure information
For your arrival:
Plan to arrive to Paris on or before April 5th and spend at least 1 night there before the retreat opens on April 6th.
We will have an on site coordinator to assist guests in taking a train from Paris to the station close to the retreat estate.
Guests will meet the coordinator at a designated meeting point near the train station at 12 noon on April 6th.
Round trip train tickets are included for all guests.
*Do not plan to fly in the same day that the retreat begins.*
You must arrive in France on or before April 5th to take the April 6th train from Paris to the estate. If you arrive outside of this window, you would be responsible for your own transportation to the retreat property.
For your departure:
Plan to depart the estate at 10:00am on April 11th. We will have a pre-paid shuttle arranged for all of our retreat guests that takes guests from the Loire Valley property back to the Blois train station, then guests will take a train back to Paris. Train tickets and the shuttle are included for all guests.
The train ride is approximately 2 hours. Plan to arrive back to the Paris train station around 1:30pm on April 11th.
We recommend staying in Paris overnight on April 11th and departing on April 12th if possible. Or select a flight that departs no earlier than 5:00pm on April 11th.

Megan has spent the past 30 years helping people learn to thrive using a combination of holistic approaches combined with heart-aligned business strategy. She has built a movement of positivity and a wave of hope within the psychotherapy world, teaching therapists how to build and scale their businesses so they can avoid burnout and truly thrive. A leader in the wellness industry, she has facilitated retreats across the globe that invite guests to return to their most complete and healthiest versions of themselves. As a former music therapist, she combines guided imagery, music, art, shamanic journey work, mask making, mandala, drumming, meditation and creative writing into her work where she weaves the sacred and profound in everything she does. She has built retreats and summits internationally for therapists and is now leading a movement helping entrepreneurs learn how to tap into their intuitive knowing to become more confident and successful business owners. Freeman E. Gunnell III

Chef Freeman E. Gunnell’s culinary education has been under the direction of renowned chefs including Jimmy Schmidt, Wolfgang Puck, and Madeleine Kamman. A graduate of the School for American Chefs, Beringer Vineyards at Napa Valley, California as well as Cuisine Regionale of France from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris, France. His well-rounded career includes working as chef de cuisine and as a pastry chef in gourmet restaurants as well as corporate and private settings.
After 8 years of owning and managing Cornwall Bakery in Grosse Pointe Park, MI., Freeman now finds his passion lies with helping home chefs learn to cook with confidence and inviting guests to experience the world's finest food and wine on extraordinary tours local and abroad. Awarded the prestigious IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) pastry award to study at Ecole Lenotre in Paris, France and three-time recipient of the IDDBA Scholarships (International Dairy-Deli Bakery Association). He graduated from Schoolcraft College with high honors in the Culinary Arts, Pastry and Baking Programs. He has an extensive 30 year culinary history working in fine dining and gaining experience in breads and pastries working for the Whole Foods Bakehouse in Chicago and at Holiday Market in Royal Oak, MI. Freeman enjoys traveling, skiing, cycling, gardening and spending time with family. |

Heidi plays many roles with the Thrive Team! As our business manager, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She also teaches yoga at all of our retreats and summits and has extensive experience in personal training, wellness and fitness. Yoga sessions with Heidi are supportive, connected and intuitive. She will help you stretch and grow into your highest potential both on and off the mat. At the retreat, Heidi will offer daily yoga sessions for restoration and recharging. No experience is necessary. Heidi helps everyone in the room feel comfortable whether you're brand new to yoga or a seasoned yogi. |

This retreat is intentionally limited to a small group of only 11 participants to ensure a highly personalized and impactful experience.

Absolutely! Many participants come alone and find it to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals in a supportive environment. If you're searching for a roommate for your lodging options, we can place you with the perfect roommate from those who sign up for a shared room with private bath.
10. Is the retreat refundable if I can’t attend?
Due to the extensive planning and limited spots available, all payments are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another guest or someone from our waitlist.
11. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, because all payments are non-refundable, we recommend you purchase individual travel insurance for your trip from Allianz or Travel Guard.
